About Us

  • “Tios” is Spanish for Aunts and Uncles. That’s who we are. We are passionate about coming alongside families to offer support and encouragement as they learn to overcome poverty and injustice. We partner with front line ministries in majority world countries that are implementing poverty and injustice alleviation that addresses the whole person—body, mind, and spirit. Our mission is to eliminate poverty and injustice, one child, one family, one community at a time.

  • We believe that poverty is not just a lack of material goods, but a loss of hope through broken relationships with God, self, others, and everything in the world. Reconciliation and restoration of these key relationships is the focus of our mission.

We also believe that reconciliation of these relationships requires unique solutions that are best formulated by the local church and that is why we work in partnership with the local church. Currently, we are partnering with Vida Real Church in Escuintla Guatemala to bring hope and reconciliation to the community through their efforts at Maná de Vida School. To assist, we have created a child sponsorship program that supports the school in providing education, nutrition, spiritual direction, counseling, and basic medical needs to over 175 students. Over the past 15 years, we have seen the fruits of this labor in increasing graduation and job placement rates, a decrease in teen pregnancies, families restored, and many other miracles. In this way, we believe we can make a difference, one child at a time.

  • We have witnessed the beginning and are amid great things happening in Guatemala. What began as an after-school program for a few kids has become a full-time school including differently abled students, a community medical center, child protective service, temporary family shelter, microenterprise center and much more. Some of the first students are returning to become a part of the team. Most of our university graduates are the first in their families to finish even high school.

Who Are We?

We are a people who have come together to spread God’s love in Latin America. We try to nurture these children in body, mind, and spirit.

Our hearts are those of servants, humbly serving those in need as we would serve the Lord.

We are passionate about helping and don’t mind working hard and getting our hands dirty.

In doing so, we grow close to God, to each other, and to the children. Won’t you join us?
