Lupita is Irene’s nickname, and everyone knows her by it. Lupita is working in the school canteen while she is earning her degree in Social Work. Lupita has been a part of the Maná de Vida program since she was in preschool 16 years ago! She is a vivacious young lady with an incredible sense of humor. She is sponsored through the Tios for Hope Sponsorship program and now that she is in college, her sponsorship helps to pay her fees. Lupita says that her spiritual character has been greatly influenced by the love she has experienced at MDV. In this environment, she has overcome her fear and has become confident in her abilities to achieve her goals. When she graduates from college, she wants to specialize in helping youth and children to formulate strategies for continuing to study instead of dropping out.
