Protection & Restoration

Tios partners with churches to provide protection and restoration to vulnerable children and their families.

This shelter provides a home for children and families in crisis and support services to help them thrive. The program has grown to serve the entire department of Escuintla through a partnership with the International Justice Mission. Through this partnership, trafficking and abuse are being confronted and prosecuted where necessary.

In Escuintla, the program teaches awareness and identifies children who are at risk from abuse and neglect. There is trauma-informed care for children who have experienced abuse or neglect in the home. As an extension of this, Ciudad de Refugio, a temporary family and children’s home, was established.
